Sign PDF
Stamp an uploaded signature image onto a PDF page.
- Free to use
- No sign-up
- Instant download
This places your signature image visually onto the page — like signing a printout and scanning it back in. It is not a cryptographic/legally-binding digital signature.
Your file is processed securely and automatically deleted from our servers within 1 hour.

About this tool
Add your handwritten mark to a document without printing it. Upload an image of your signature, choose where it should go, and download a ready-to-send signed copy.
How to use it
- Upload the document you need to sign.
- Upload a PNG or JPG of your signature (a transparent PNG looks best).
- Choose the sheet and position, then run the tool to download the result.
Making a good signature image
Sign in dark ink on plain white paper, take a well-lit photo or scan, and crop it tightly. A transparent background prevents a white box from covering the text or lines underneath.
When it helps
- Application, enrolment and registration forms
- Offer letters, agreements and simple contracts
- Invoices, delivery notes and approvals
- Official letters you would otherwise print, sign and scan
Image stamp vs certificate-based e-signature
This tool places a picture of your handwriting onto the document. It does not add a cryptographic, certificate-based e-signature and does not verify who signed. If the recipient requires a legally verified e-signature, use a dedicated signing service.
Good to know
Check that the stamp does not cover important text, and review the result before sending it. Uploaded files are deleted from our server shortly after processing.
A worked example
A tenant receives a two-sheet rental renewal by email. Instead of printing, signing and scanning, she photographs her signature on white paper, crops it, uploads it with the agreement, chooses the last sheet and a bottom-right position, and sends back the signed copy within minutes.
Creating a clean signature image
- Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper.
- Photograph or scan it in good light.
- Crop tightly around the ink.
- For best results, remove the background to create a transparent PNG with any free background remover.
Placement tips
- Pick the sheet that contains the signature line — often the last one.
- Choose the position closest to the line provided.
- Open the result and zoom in to confirm nothing important is covered.
When you need more than a stamp
Banks, courts and some government services require certificate-based e-signatures that prove identity and detect later changes. For those, use the recipient's own signing platform or a dedicated e-signature service.
Keep it secure
Store your signature image somewhere private and never send it to people you do not trust. Consider adding a password with Protect PDF before emailing signed paperwork.
